"Day by Day NY" is a Family Literacy Calendar/website for families with young children with daily features, such as a story, videos, songs, poems and other activities.Check it out here.


Our last Story Walk of 2017, "The Story of Ferdinand," is ready for your walking & reading pleasure.  It will be on display through Sunday, Sept 10, and that's it for this summer! Hope you enjoyed them!


Thurs, Sept 14, 7 pm: Knowledge Seekers' Society annual "Calendar Tea" in the Anderson Community Room.


Mon & Wed, Sept 18 & 20, 5-8 pm: T.A.S.C. (Test Assessing Secondary Skills, formerly G.E.D.) class meets in the Anderson Community Room with an instructor from BOCES.


Wed, Sept 20, 4 pm, DYPL Board of Trustees meets in the Anderson Community Room.

Sat, Sept 23, 11am to 5 pm, Scrap, Craft & Chat Club meets in the Anderson Community Room. Come spend an hour or the whole day working on your favorite project in the company of other crafters. Share a potluck Brunch around 1 p.m., snacks, craft ideas and tips.

The Library is OPEN on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Mon, Jan 16; Presidents' Day, Mon, Feb 20; and Columbus Day, Mon, Oct 10 .


Gwen Bixby joined the Library as Director in March 2007. She shares her love of reading and life-long learning by selecting materials and planning programs for toddlers to adults.

Our Staff

Our mission is simple: To provide materials and programs for members of the community for educational, informational and recreational use.

 

The Delevan-Yokrshire Public library is located at 28 School Street in the Village of Delevan, NY. It is chartered by the New York State Education Department to serve the population of the Village of Delevan and the Town of Yorkshire, population 4210.


The Library has books, magazines, audio books (on CD's and cassettes) movies (in DVD& VHS formats), and puzzles available for loan for users of all ages.


Library card holders may also borrow e-book titles in reader or audio formats for tablets, smart phones and other electronic devices.
