Watch the trailer for a new movie coming out in 2018: "The Public".

Daryl Decker, a member of the Board of Trustees since 2014, is the current Board President, and the immediate past Treasurer.

The winner of the "People's Choice Award" from the Library's 10th Annual Quilt Show is this quilt, called, "Tree of Life," which was pieced by Cheryl MacPherson Walker and quilted by her husband, Duane Walker.

Wed, Aug 15, 6:30 pm: Music in the Park--concert by Hintz of Thunder. Refreshments available from Boy Scout Troop #627. Bring your own chair to the Village Park (Beside the Fire Hall on Main Street.

Thurs, Aug 16, 6 pm: 'Tween/Teen Movie": The featured film is "Music of the Heart". Watch it on our big screen in air-conditioned comfort in the Anderson Community Room). Free popcorn & snacks!

Fri, Aug 17th, 3 pm: Today's Friday Family Flick is "Mulan". Free popcorn and snacks.

Sat, Aug 18, 11am : Balloon Artist Janice Spagnola presents and "Extra Fun Balloon Show in the Anderson Community Room. Following the show we will draw names for the winners of this year's Summer Reading Gift Bags. Please come in by 10 am to have you reading records checked and get you last tickets for the drawing. Holiday Closings for 2018: New Year's Day,Tues, Jan 1; Memorial Day Weekend, Sat-Mon, May 26-28,  Independence Day, Wed, July 4th; Labor Day Weekend, Sat-Mon, Sept 1-3; Thanksgiving Weekend, Thurs-Sun, Nov 22-26; Christmas, Sun-Wed, Dec 23-26; and New Year's, Sat-Tues, Dec 29 - Jan 1.

The Library will be OPEN on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Mon, Jan 15; Presidents' Day, Mon, Feb 19; Good Friday, March 30;  Columbus Day, Mon, Oct 8; and Veterans Day, Nov 12.

Gwen Bixby joined the Library as Director in March 2007. She shares her love of reading and life-long learning by selecting materials and planning programs for toddlers to adults.

Our Staff

Our mission is simple: To provide materials and programs for members of the community for educational, informational and recreational use.


The Delevan-Yokrshire Public library is located at 28 School Street in the Village of Delevan, NY. It is chartered by the New York State Education Department to serve the population of the Village of Delevan and the Town of Yorkshire, population 4210.

The Library has books, magazines, audio books (on CD's and cassettes) movies (in DVD& VHS formats), and puzzles available for loan for users of all ages.

Library card holders may also borrow e-book titles in reader or audio formats for tablets, smart phones and other electronic devices.
